70% or 90% of appliances in project should be ENERGYSTAR rated to conserve energy
All appliance and equipment installed at the time of occupancy must be included
in the submittal
As an incentive to upgrade to more efficient equipment, items replaced ith new ENERGY STAR euquipment in a differenct category and a lower rated power, may use the higher rated power value corresponding to the category of the replaced item in the credit calculation.
For example: ifa desktop computer is replaced with a new ESTAR notebook computer, 120 watts for the desktop computer may be used as the rated power in plce of 45 watts for the notebook computer.
refers to all equipment that is plugged into the electrical system, from office equipment to refrigerators.
is the nameplate power on a piece of equipment. It represents the capacity of teh unit and is the maximum a unit will draw.
