rapid, dense growth of algae that robs the water of oxygen as it dies and decomposes

animal that lacks a backbone and is visible to the naked eye
Greenway
open space or connector along a natural corridor (such as a river) used for parks and trails
Point Source Pollution
discharge entering a stream at a specific, detectable point such as a pipe or outfall
Non Point Source Pollution
diffuse runoff from large areas of land
Vegetative Buffers
 are areas of natural or established vegetation maintained to protect the water quality of neighboring areas.
Ecological Footprint
the amount of land and water needed to support one’s lifestyle using current technology
