Brownfield Remediation-

Choose a Brownfield as site and do the remediation process

Chose site with less than 50% impervious cover OR reduce by 25%

Get rid of contaminants: TSS by 80% and TP by 40%

Heat Island Reduction, Non-roof-

1. Choose building that provides shade, uses color with a SRI of at least 30, and an open-pavement grid that equals at least 30% of non-roof impervious surfaces OR

2. place 50% of parking underground or cover them OR

3. use open-pavement grid for at least 50% of parking area

Heat Island Reduction, Roof-

A minimum of roof should have an SRI great or equal to: low-sloped roof = 78

and high sloped roof= 29

OR

installed a green roof for 50% of the surface area

OR

a combination of the two satisfying:

roof area ≤(sf roof SRI x 1.33)+(sf of green roof x2)

"F" Description

Light Pollution Reduction-

Exterior lighting with more than 1000 lumens needs to have shielding, lamps with more than 3500 lumens have to comply with IESNA cutoff requirements, and lamp with 2.5 x mounting height of the property line must have shielding, and no light shall cross the property line.

Water Efficient Irrigation- Reduced Potable-

Reduce potable water for irrigation by 50% over conventional means (use drip method) or capture rain water
